Everything we do comes back to this question: what does it actually mean to thrive?
For us, it means having a sense of purpose bigger than yourself. It means healthy connection with others, with yourself (mind, body, spirit), and with the natural world around you. It means moments of flow, of beauty, of feeling like you belong somewhere.
We create the conditions for those experiences through hands-on time in nature, genuine skill-building, and close engagement with living systems. Not through a screen. Out in it.
We carry and honour the knowledge passed down by our tūpuna. Traditional Māori practices are woven through everything we offer, giving people a living education in sustainable land management, indigenous flora and fauna, and kaitiakitanga. Guardianship of the world we are all part of.
This isn’t a curriculum we teach. It’s a culture we live.
When we are good to our environment, our environment is good to us. That’s the heart of permaculture. It’s a way of thinking about whole systems, of working with the patterns already found in nature rather than against them.
We also believe this extends inward. When you nurture your own inner world, your relationship with yourself, that care naturally flows outward into how you treat the land, your community, and each other.
Our programmes are open to everyone. Rangatahi looking for a different kind of education. Whānau wanting to spend meaningful time outdoors. Communities ready to take an active role in restoring and regenerating their whenua.
There’s a place for you here.
